 After 20 years service with CSIRO, in what was once the Division of Building, Construction & Engineering, the last 11 of those years were spent consulting on and undertaking performance testing in the CSIRO Facade Engineering & Weather Performance of Buildings laboratory group, where the SIROWET method was developed before been adopted as the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4284. 

During this time, full-scale facade tests in the group's NATA accredited lab, as well as test witnessing services at facilities throughout China and South-East Asia, were performed for curtain walls, cladding, louvre and roofing systems, window and sliding door suites, to Australian and international standards. These services were mostly associated with signature medium and large scale building projects in Australia and globally, presenting the opportunity to collaborate with established facade manufacturers, major building companies, and engineering consultancies.

beTcs Asia-Pacific continues in this role of offering NATA accredited, independent and impartial verification solutions to support the facade industry, suppliers of building envelope materials and systems, builders, consultants, building owners, and developers.

beTcs Asia-Pacific instils confidence in the performance testing stage of a facade or fenestration system's acceptance, as being fit-for-purpose, by holding world recognised NATA accreditation for compliance to ISO/IEC 17020:2012.

beTcs Asia-Pacific conducts NATA accredited inspection, oversight and witnessing of facade and fenestration performance tests. Services include: ensuring the third-party test facility is accredited, adequate, and capable to perform testing; supervising tests for correct application of, and adherence to, the specified standards, procedures, and parameters; analysis of test results for compliance; and, comprehensive documenting and reporting of the tests and results for verifying performance.
